Iran makes presence felt at Albania filmfest

Twelve Iranian films have qualified for the official competition selection of the 2017 Tirana International Film Festival held in Albania.

The 15th edition of the Albanian festival will be held from November 3rd to November 11th, 2017 in Tirana, Albania.

The twelve Iranian films competing in different sections of the festival include: ‘Mothering’ by Roqiye Tavakoli, ‘Animal’ by Bahman & Bahram Ark, ‘Building No. 13’ by Amir Gholami, ‘Retouch’ by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘Bystander’ by ‘Sheyda Kashi’, ‘Light Sight’ by Seyyed Moslem Tabatabaei, ‘Pet Man’ by Marzieh Abrarpaydar, ‘The Servant’ by Farnoosh Abedi, ‘Lunch Time’ by Alireza Ghasemi, ‘Finish’ by Saeed Naghavian, ‘Genesis’ by Abtin Mozafari and ‘Label’ by Amir Lashkari.

Tirana International Film Festival is the first international film festival and the only of its kind in Albania. This cultural event created in 2003 aims to create in Albania, as well as in the Balkans, a cultural center of worldwide alternative and independent cinema.
